International Student Office

 

The International Student Office provide specialist support to students who study at Cambridge from outside the UK and contributes more widely to international student and student mobility matters at the University. The office is responsible for ensuring institutional compliance with responsibilities under the University’s Student sponsor licence and for providing guidance and advice to students on related immigration matters. Specific areas of responsibilities are outlined below: 

Anthony Dangerfield, Head of the International Student Office

Anthony has overall responsibility for managing the International Student Office and the areas that fall under its remit. He leads on projects related to international students and student mobility. 

Maria Wylie, Deputy Head of the International Student Office

Maria manages the office’s day to day delivery of operational activities related to student visa immigration, and the wider support services provided by the team.

Lucy Gager, Lead International Student Advisor

Lucy is responsible for the team's visa advisory service, providing students and their dependants with student visa and related immigration advice. Lucy is also responsible for managing the University's participation in the Turing Scheme and the administration of the Smuts Memorial Fund.

Catherine Padbury, Lead International Student Administrator

Catherine leads on the implementation of institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance with student immigration requirements, with a focus on current and completing students. This includes advising staff and students on visa compliance, overseeing academic engagement monitoring and managing changes of circumstances.

Lucy Shaw, Lead International Student Administrator

Lucy leads on the implementation of institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance with student immigration requirements, with a focus on admissions and arrival. This includes advising both staff and students on visa compliance, managing confirmation of sponsorship, overseeing visa checks on arrival, facilitating the distribution of BRPs to students and undertaking internal audits.

Rosie Bell, International Student Administrator

Rosie provides support to visiting students, advising colleagues and students on related immigration matters. She is also responsible for supporting incoming student exchange arrangements with the University's overseas partner institutions. 

Theo Mountford, International Student Administrator

Theo provides student immigration advice to prospective and current students and supports the administration of compliance under the University's Student sponsor licence. He also administers visiting student activity. 

Elliott Lucas, International Student Administrator

Elliott administers mobility funding under the Turing Scheme and provides visa advice on the Graduate visa.

Frida Nycander, International Student Administrator

Frida supports student immigration compliance, providing guidance to staff and students on student visa sponsorship and related responsibilities. She issues CAS for undergraduate study, certain postgraduate courses and to current students.

Meghan Goguen, International Student Administrator

Meghan provides visa advice to prospective and current students and supports the administration of compliance under the University's Student sponsor licence. She also supports the development of pre-arrival and orientation guidance for new international students and is responsible for the administration of the Kurt Hahn Trust. 

Babette Kloeg, International Student Administrator

Babette administers various aspects relating to the University's immigration compliance responsibilities with particular areas of focus including ATAS and supporting students' changes of circumstances. She also supports the administration of the Smuts Memorial Fund. 

Alice Bridgwater, International Student Assistant Administrator

Alice supports a range of administrative tasks within the office. This includes maintaining student records and reports, supporting procedures with Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs), assisting with CAS production and answering general queries.
